BioFuelBox Corporation today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the GoingGreen Top 100 Winners. BioFuelBox was specially selected from a list of more than 500, with nominations coming from top venture capital firms and a wide breadth of green technology insiders.
"The GoingGreen 100 companies will accelerate the global movement to a more sustainable environment," said Tony Perkins, founder and CEO of AlwaysOn. "The ideas and innovation we saw as we reviewed hundreds of green technology companies will be foundational to the next wave of economic growth in California and beyond. My congratulations to each GoingGreen 100 winner — companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year."
BioFuelBox serves industries and municipalities to become more profitable and sustainable by creating fuel from waste streams that would otherwise be incinerated or buried in landfills. “Our expertise is with waste-derived feedstocks that have high free fatty acid and high-water content such as brown grease, trap grease and waste water sludge that is considered un-processable by conventional methods. Using patented technologies, we provide turn&ndashkey operations that plug into existing infrastructure to convert waste material into biodiesel that meets all ASTM standards,” said Steve Perricone, President and CEO of BioFuelBox. “We are honored to be part of the coveted GoingGreen 100 list. BioFuelBox shares AlwaysOn’s passion for striving to solve some of the world’s important problems while providing economic advantages to do so. In our current climate, it is especially important to be self-reliant, as energy prices are rising and budgets are shrinking.”
