The team behind clean technology information source, AZoCleantech.com, has announced they are throwing their weight behind the Earth Hour initiative. In its third year, the Earth Hour initiative asks individuals, communities and corporations to turn off their lights for an hour as a visible vote for protecting the environment of Earth.
AZoCleantech.com is the online A to Z of Clean Technologies and supplies the Clean Technology community worldwide with a continuously updating source of all the information they need to make an informed decision on selecting a "Clean Technology" solution. Due to the collaborative publishing approach that has been adopted, AZoCleantech.com is totally free to access and is strongly focused on all aspects of Clean Technology.
As a company AZoNetwork, the owner and operator of AZoCleantech.com does more than simply encourage employees to turn their lights off for a single hour once a year in efforts to save the planet. All AZoNetwork employees are encouraged to live sustainable lives and consider the environment in their day to day activities. AZoCleantech staff have the option of working remotely in order to save emissions generated in commuting to a central office, meetings between the globally distributed staff are regularly held via teleconferencing and some staff are able to leave the car at home and ride bicycles to the office.
It won’t just be lights out for AZoCleantech during Earth Hour. Staff will be ensuring that all nonessential computers, appliances and other electronic devices will be shutdown.
Earth Hour is to be held on Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm. For additional information see http://www.earthhour.org
