enXco has completed numerous solar power projects that include the installation of a solar electric power system at Hall’s Warehouse Corporation. The solar electric system installed was a rooftop model with the capability to generate a maximum DC power of 3.2 megawatts.
The Hall’s Warehouse Corporation covers a total area of 1,700,000 square feet and deals with refrigerated and frozen food supply. With the installation of the rooftop solar power system, the carbon footprint of the Hall’s Warehouse Corporation was reduced. This project was started in August 2008 and began operating by about January 2008.
The rooftop solar power system, installed by enXco, comprised a total of 20,184 solar panels along with UNI-SOLAR laminates installed in a maximum number of 2,190. The technologies adopted in the construction of the solar power system include both thin film and amorphous silicon thin film laminate. Solar panels incorporated in the solar electric system of the Hall’s Warehouse Corporation consisted of First Solar brand of panels.
The Hall’s Warehouse Corporation project, completed by enXco, had the capability to eliminate a maximum of 2,157 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions after the installation of solar power system. The installation of the solar system from enXco ultimately resulted in minimizing energy costs.
