HJ Solar Wins Several International PV Project Contracts

Hengji PV-Tech Energy has expanded its solar footprint in the international arena after winning several bids in the international PV market. HJ Solar has won bids for PV projects in Italy and the Czech Republic. Another contract in Thailand for a pilot PV project with a total installation capacity of 9.87 MW was also awarded to the company.

In 2009, HJ Solar’s annual production capacity was 50 MW. The products were exported to the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, and other regions in the world. At present, the company’s second stage of capacity expansion is nearing completion. The annual production capacity of the company will reach 350 MW when the project is completed.

The annual turnover of the company will also exceed RMB3 billion (USD440 million) after the capacity expansion. It will be the only company to provide a comprehensive range of products and services including design, development, research, manufacture and installation. The products supplied by the company include deep cycle batteries, solar modules, thermal energy, and inverters.

Hengji Group’s subsidiary, Hengji PV-Tech Energy, was established in October 2007. Mr. Jianrong Xu, the president and CEO of HJ Solar, said the company’s solar modules have the highest conversion efficiency rates in the world. After completing pilot PV projects in many regions in the world including in the U.S. and in Europe, the company has acquired a good reputation in the international solar market, Jianrong Xu said.
