With the launch of CBRE Solar by CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc., the company has significantly expanded its capabilities of providing solar energy services to customers.
Initially, CBRE Solar will offer services in Canada and United states to the company’s customers. The services offered by it comprises a wide range of solar power solutions, including roof leases, solar energy power purchase agreements, project development services, identifying investment opportunities for solar projects, and advisory services.
President of the Americas for CB Richard Ellis, Mike Lafitte, said that being the largest real estate services company in the world, it will play an important role in the solar distributed generation market. Leveraging CBRE Solar’s capabilities, the company will help its asset services and corporate services customers to understand and navigate the complex solar market to optimize their real estate and accomplish their energy-cost reduction and sustainability goals, Lafitte added.
CBRE Solar will operate along with Smart Energy Capital (SEC), a solar advisory, finance and development company. SEC has proven track record in structuring and organizing financing solutions for developing renewable energy projects. The company has handled a portfolio of more than 300 MW of solar projects and arranged financings in excess of $200 billion. With broad relationships across the world with leading contractors, solar equipment manufacturers, capital sources, contractors, utilities, and power companies, SEC will assist CBRE Solar to offer world-class solar power solutions to its customers.
