EnLink Geoenergy Services installs underground loop systems or earth heat exchangers. EnLink has developed a technology, EnLink Drill, to drill vertical boreholes and insert closed loop systems.
The EnLink Drill technology involves automated handling of pipes and rods, drill head with more than one function and integration of components present in the heat exchanger. The drill operator can choose the tools and features appropriate to the job and completes the drilling without any problem.
The EnLink Drill technology prevents collapse of boreholes in soil, which is unstable. The technology helps the operator to insert casing into the boreholes simultaneously as the drill forces its way through the earth. EnLink has developed a drill rig, which uses five drilling technologies, namely, air rotary, mud rotary, sonic, mud sonic, and downhole air hammer. EnLink uses a coiled tubing unit for inserting polyethylene pipe loops easily in pre-drilled holes with diameter less than four inches.
The grout mixing process followed by EnLink helps to blend uniformly thermally enhanced grouts in any type. The performance of the earth heat exchanger can be measured with the help of the energy metering system from EnLink. By measuring the heat transferred from the earth to the building, the energy metering system analyzes the performance of the earth heat exchanger. EnLink uses grout system, U-bend to increase the performance of the heat exchanger. The grouting system from EnLink can be used with other types of grouts also. The U-bend works in combination with the CTU loop insertion rig. This helps the operator to slide the U-bend easily down a borehole.
