Vaughn Corporation provides the Solar Sepco SR water heater that features a plastic outer jacket. The solar water heater features a 1/2 thick Hydrastone lining that helps to avoid corrosion of the tank. In combination with this corrosion preventing method, the solar water heater features dense urethane foam insulation. The foam is placed all around the tank to minimize heat loss, while enhancing energy savings.
The tank of the Solar Sepco SR water heater comprises a solar heat exchanger that is removable. The submerged heat exchanger measures 20 square feet. The solar water heating system makes the water circulate into the heat exchanger. This saves space and installation time, besides eliminating additional costs for setting up an individual heat exchanger. In addition, the maintenance of the solar water heater becomes easier.
The Solar Sepco SR water heater is equipped with bronze fittings at all the water openings to avoid corrosion risks. The solar water heater does not need an anode rod or dielectric unions. The Solar Sepco SR water heater is designed with an inbuilt hot water outlet that avoids unwanted heat loss. The plastic outer jacket of the water heater is lightweight, rust proof and does not require maintenance. The solar water heater, offered by Vaughn Corporation, has a cold water inlet at the bottom of the tank. This avoids turbulent mixing of cold water with hot water.
