New Report Predicts BIPV Glass Market to Generate $6.4b in 2016

Industry analyst firm NanoMarkets announces the release of its latest report on Building Integrated Photovoltaics Market, “BIPV Glass Markets 2012.” In the report NanoMarkets estimates that the total market for BIPV glass will reach $6.4 billion (USD) in revenues in 2016 compared to $1.5 billion in 2012.

New Energy Technologies Achieves Large-Area SolarWindow Milestone

Scientists from New Energy Technologies and the United States Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), involved in the development of New Energy’s SolarWindow technology, have fabricated the largest-ever organic photovoltaic (OPV) module. The 170 cm2 OPV device is over 14 times larger than the earlier OPV modules produced at the NREL.
