Canadian Solar Signs 10MWac Module Supply Agreement with Silvercreek Solar Park

Canadian Solar Inc. (the "Company", or "Canadian Solar"), one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced that its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has signed a 10 MWac Module Supply Agreement with Silvercreek Solar Park Inc. ("Silvercreek"), to provide Ontario-made Canadian Solar modules for a ground-mounted utility-scale solar power plant in Canada. This is Silvercreek's first utility scale solar power project in Ontario.

UT Austin Researchers Develop New Source of Renewable Energy

Researchers at The University of Texas at Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering have developed a new source of renewable energy, a biofuel, from genetically engineered yeast cells and ordinary table sugar. This yeast produces oils and fats, known as lipids, that can be used in place of petroleum-derived products.

New Battery Recycling Processes to Recover Critical Metals

The CoLaBats initiative works in provide new industrial processes for the recycling of the critical metals Cobalt and Lanthanides and key economic metals Nickel and Lithium, from waste batteries, significantly improving recycling efficiencies and metal purity from existing recovery routes.
