JA Solar Holdings has declared that its high-efficiency monocrystalline and multicrystalline Cypress solar cells in large-volume production has attained 19.1% and 17.4% of average conversion efficiencies, respectively. Monocrystalline and multicrystalline solar cells therefore have corresponding industry average of 18.8% and 17.0%, respectively.

Solectria Renewables, a manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters, has reported the selection of its Megawatt Solar Stations for 5 MW True North solar farm situated in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
Kyocera has declared that its subsidiary Kyocera Solar will offer 30 MW of solar modules, up to 135,000 units, for a northern prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan-based utility-scale solar power plant. Yonden Engineering will design and build this project.
